F rom the hill of Montjuïc you can hover over Barcelona’s port aboard a cable car. In 1926, in preparation for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition, the idea was conceived to build a cable car linking the hill of Montjuïc with the port.
The line is supported by two large metallic towers, –Sant Sebastià tower and Jaume I tower– and after being entirely renovated, it allows passengers to observe all of the port’s traffic from the air, as well as a good portion of the city’s seafront façade.
