The Collserola Tower has silhouetted the Barcelona sky since 1992. It has been one of the symbols of Barcelona since the Olympic Games, and apart from giving the city an air of modernity, it also offers the highest viewpoint on the Barcelona plain. Norman Foster conceived a complex made of a tubular structure emerging from Turó de la Vilana, and containing a total of 13 platforms. The public viewpoint is located on platform number 10, at a height of 560 metres above sea level, a slope that is overcome thanks to a panoramic elevator that takes only two seconds to reach this level. From there a panoramic view of 360o on the city and its surroundings.
